RESIDENTIAL FLOOR PLAN

This assignment was one of my favorites. We were given a blank floor plan and our task was to add flooring, thresholds, and a finish schedule. 

For the flooring pattern and color/texture, I used colored pencils and a Micron Fineliner Pen to add definition. 

The Tabacco Birch (T) is laid out in the staggered brickwork style. The Cast Iron Birch (CT) is laid out in the Herringbone style. The thresholds (AC) are marble and I chose Arabescato Carrara Marble to tie in with the warm tones of the two flooring colors. 

I thoroughly enjoyed drawing out the flooring patterns, applying color and dimension, and researching materials to create the finish schedule. I learned to take my time with this assignment and focus on details.
