EVERYDAY ASSEMBLIES
PRESENTAION DECK
ARCHITECTUAL DRAFTING AND PERSPECTIVE DRAWING | WSU
For this project, I was assigned Contemporary Dance. I was to study the specific way dancers move their bodies and create an art installation that represents those movements. The following is my installation presentation.

For my inspiration slide, you can see I took screenshots of the video assigned to me and traced out their movements.

I began to sketch out some rough ideas of some planks, some intertwined with one another, and others turning or twisting. This creating similar movement such as the contemporary dancers from the screenshots.

Once I found a layout that I like and thought represented the movement well. I then started drafting out a plan view of the installation.

I then had to think about is this something that is large in stature, where people can walk through and under. Or did I want something that wasn't so intimidating and not interfering with its surroundings or creating an eyesore. I ultimately decided I wanted to make this particular installation about half the size of an average human beings height. You can see examples of that with the elevation A and B slide.

With this section view slide, I am showcasing how the fit in to one and another. You can see the width of the planks, as well as, how each plank is supported.

For this perspective slide, I wanted to showcase in detail, how I imagined this installation to look by applying texture, some foliage, and water stream. My intention is to have this installation not disrupt nature of its surround. This allowing the installation to become part of its surroundings, serve as art, and allow for people to interact with it.

For my final slide, I made a physical scaled model, took images of different angles, and showcased multiple ways people could interact and utilized my art.
